The group consisting of Clivic, Oron, Kellinos, and Leon had all been residing in The Three Feathers Inn when they were mistaken for murderers of the then King Halfred. A discrete knight, Hollend, knew that the newly gathered party were innocent and tried to help clear their names. Giving them what information he had, he sent them to gather information from around Whispervale to see if they can bring the late Kings son home safely before the vindictive brother captured him and murdered him too. Whilst on their travels through the countryside they were joined by a traveling monk, Brother Amadaeus, a Dragonborn warrior, Klondike, and a Rogue Ewan. The monk became to busy throwing praise about how magic should be left out of this world and took to the road soon after meeting with them.
When the group found the young heir to the throne, they brought him back to the city with much rejoicing and praise. The newly coronated King gave the party free residency to the city for their deeds and life began to settle. During a celebratory ceremony where the party were being given praise for their heroic deeds, a stunningly beautiful woman from a nearby country entered the festivities to speak with the King asking for aid. It was then that the King proposed that the services of the party would be the best people for the job due to the services they provided in the Kings rescue.
It was here that the party were requested to visit a town nearby and retrieve a set of books, yet they received more than they bargained for when during one eventful night they all had the same dream. They were in a molten cavern where 7 nefarious creatures were conversing. Residing above 6 of the creatures was a humongous blue dragon. All the creatures turned sharply to look right at the heroes and before they could react, they all woke from their dreams abruptly and each had a burning sensation on their chest.
